Join Us on Day 6
Row the final 17 miles from Sandy Hook to Liberty Island alongside Ryan and Kyle. Ten boats total. $200 per boat.
- Both rowers must be members of the South Jersey Chiefs Association or United States Lifeguard Association
- Boat must be a qualified Van Dyne or AC type lifeguard dory
- At least one rower in the boat must have completed a 15+ mile row in a single sitting with two rowers
- Rowers must trailer their own boat to the meeting location and have a trailer driver to move it to the pickup location
Launch time: Before sunrise on September 5, 2026. Exact time will be communicated after registration.
Meeting location: Sandy Hook Boat Ramp. You are responsible for trailering your boat there. Your trailer driver must be available to move the trailer to the Port Liberty Boat Ramp pickup point.
Finish: Liberty Island. After the finish we will exit at Port Liberty Boat Ramp (1.5 miles).
Safety: All participants must have appropriate safety gear. This is an open ocean row — conditions may be rough. Participation is at your own risk.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, and Assumption of Risk
By participating in the Lighthouse to Liberty Row event ("Event"), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk. I understand that ocean rowing involves inherent risks including but not limited to rough water conditions, weather, exhaustion, equipment failure, and physical injury. I voluntarily assume all such risks.
2. Release of Liability. I release, discharge, and hold harmless Ryan Fisher, Kyle Rumaker, and any associated organizers, volunteers, and sponsors from any and all claims, damages, or liability arising from my participation in the Event, including claims resulting from negligence.
3. Medical Fitness. I certify that I am physically fit to participate in a multi-mile ocean row and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions on this form.
4. Equipment. I agree to bring all required safety equipment and ensure my boat is properly maintained and appropriate for ocean conditions.
5. Rules. I agree to follow all event rules and the directions of event organizers. I understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the event.
